If you are a candidate for hearing aids, we will discuss your lifestyle, aesthetic preferences, physical requirements and budget.  From there,  the advantages and limitations of hearing products from various manufacturers will be explained and you will be given the opportunity to try the hearing aids in simulated environments that are important to you, such as in a restaurant or enjoying the outdoors.

If you're ready, you then choose which hearing aids you would like to be fit with for a no-obligation trial period.  This gives yo the opportunity to wear the hearing aids in you r everyday life before deciding if they are right for you.

From there, you can choose to keep the hearing aids, try something else, or return them.  No strings attached.

We use very up to date equipment for all offered procedures, however, I may have been trained on something like the audiometer in the picture!

What to Expect

Hear Central Saanich - 7159A West Saanich Road - Brentwood Bay, BC  V8M 1P7 - Call 778-426-4876

Whether you just want a basic hearing test, or you're ready to talk about hearing aids, give us a call.   You'll be greeted by a friendly face and offered an excellent cup of coffee (or a so-so cup of tea).

If you feel there is a problem with your hearing, our registered and certified audiologist will first obtain a thorough medical history.  Non-invasive testing will then be performed to determine how well your middle ear functions to help rule out any possibly medically treatable conditions that may be affecting your hearing.  You will then be taken to our roomy soundbooth for a complete diagnostic evaluation of your auditory acuity.

Once testing is complete, the results will be thoroughly explained and you are encouraged to ask questions.  You are welcome to have a family member join you for the discussion.

If your hearing loss may be medically treatable, we will request your permission to send a copy of the test to a physician of your choice for follow-up and possible referral on to an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist (ENT).
